What is SmartFreight®?

Quite simply, SmartFreight® is the most advanced, user friendly freight management software on the market today. For any company involved in freighting product domestically, SmartFreight® can significantly increase productivity and reduce costs in several areas, by streamlining the dispatch process, providing an efficient Track and Trace solution and ensuring that each consignment is sent via the most cost effective method.

Who is behind it?

SmartFreight® was developed by Interactive Freight Systems in Sydney, www.ifsonline.net , a company with over 15 years experience providing solutions to the Australian freight industry. IFS have over 1000 SmartFreight® users throughout Australia and Europe. Now in our third year of operation in New Zealand, our clients stretch from Auckland to Christchurch, from SME's through to high profile Multi-Nationals.

What are the main features / benefits?

SmartFreight® has a great many features that can add value to your company, however the main attributes of the system are outlined below -

Ability to process all consignments through one system, regardless of carrier.
Ability to automatically select the cheapest carrier per consignment.
Automatic printing of address labels, connotes, run sheets.
Ticketless courier options, eliminating pre-paid tickets.
Fast and efficient Track and Trace system, saving time for your Customer Service team
Full reporting of freight movements, can be used for cost and marketing analysis.
Ability to print Dangerous Goods declarations fast and accurately.

Which Carriers does it support?

SmartFreight® New Zealand has agreements in place with the leading courier companies, including Post Haste, Fastway, NZ Couriers, PBT Couriers, NOW Couriers, Chem Couriers and Castle Parcels. Bulk carriers include Mainfreight, Peter Baker Transport, McDowall, National Express, Mainstream, Bullet, Owens and Daily Freight among others. We are adding to our list of compliant carriers all the time, and are happy to work with any carrier/s that you may be using at present.

Can it interface?

SmartFreight® can receive and send information from virtually any Windows® based ERP system, allowing a seamless data flow from sales order to dispatch. In addition we have many “off the shelf” interfaces written for major ERP systems such as Sage Accpac, MYOB, Accredo and Navision. The basic rule of thumb – if you can send data to a Windows® folder in a flat file we can use it, however there are exceptions which can be discussed on a one to one basis.
